Battle Before Time [Paperback]

Young inventor Max McCrane has transformed an old Volkswagen Beetle into a computerized time machine. His first adventure takes him and three friends to prehistoric times, where, bedazzled by the sights, they nearly become lunch for a famished Tyrannosaurus rex.
In their mad dash home, they are caught in an intergalactic battle. Gavriyel, emissary of the Most High, explains that the forces of evil are rebelling against the forces of good and warns them about Lightbringer, the fallen emissary. When the young travelers are tested, all but one resist Lightbringer's ploys.
