An Sword and the Flute [Paperback]
by Mike Hamel

A sad thing happens to most people.

They grow up and turn into adults.

This wouldn't be so bad, except that as their bodies get bigger, their minds get smaller. In time, their imaginations become too little to go out alone. That's why the greatest explorers have always been children. And among the greatest of them all are Matterhorn the Brave and his friends.

Matterhorn is a brave knight, when he isn't busy being a twelve-year-old boy.

Few people have heard of him, which isn't surprising, for most of his adventures happened in other times and places. And like all who know how to travel, he can do so without drawing attention to himself.

Matterhorn and his friends have been around the globe and off it. Gone under the earth and over the moon. Not bad for kids who don't even have driver's licenses.

Some readers may be too "old" to believe the stories in this series of books. But grown-ups who study physics and quantum mechanics know that space-time is like the elastic in underwear. It stretches and shrinks around the size of the under-wearer. As Uncle Al says, "it fits no two people alike." Anything is possible for those who know how to adjust it.

The books in this series don't reveal everything about this remarkable boy and his amazing companions. But herein are some of their greatest exploits for children of all ages to enjoy. For Matterhorn is, after all, a twelve-year-old boy.

When he isn't busy being a brave knight.

Endorsed by Focus on the Family as "a wholesome, Christian alternative to Harry Potter."
